The TOXIC Green Candy Coral (sometimes referred to as a Trumpet coral) is an LPS (Large Polyp Stony). The Candy Coral family has many different color variations but THIS one is the most INTENSE green I've ever seen! It will surely stand out in ANY reef tank under any reef lighting!
My pieces are mounted to real rock. No plugs.
Hardy & super easy keeper, needs no additional requirements than what you provide your soft corals. Though many say you should feed LPS corals, I'm of the opinion that they don't need feeding, gaining 99% of their nutrition from photosynthesis & random float by matter, including fish foods. Folks run the risk of greatly reducing water quality, risking algae & more by trying to feed their corals.
Most LPS corals prefer to be placed on the sand or mid to lower regions of your tank. They do NOT like strong water flow. Not aggressive as it has very short feeder tentacles.
Be very careful when handling LPS corals as the flesh part can easily be damaged which could cause a bacterial infection that could kill the entire coral, even neighboring heads or branches. Always handle by it's base or branch where no flesh is present.
