I'm constantly being asked ... Are You Selling Fish Anymore?
Quick answer is - yes & no. I will not be bringing in more until international flights are normalized. The vast majority of the reef fish we keep are collected in the Indo Pacific area and need cargo flights to come into the US. What used to be a 2 day flight is now 4 days & many are perishing from the stress. Given the extreme mortality rate, super high costs per animal & shipping, I've decided to wait & put my focus on my soft & LPS coral aquaculture efforts. I remain hopeful that "normal" is around the corner & once it is, I plan to bring in fish livestock again. I will certainly post on my website AND send a newsletter when that happens.
Note, I also work with US livestock collectors so will continue to bring in their inventory which is mainly CUC & sometimes fish.
Note from Penny: Blennies are by far one of the most adorable reef safe fish offered in the hobby! When they get to know their new family they aren't shy at all & often times will be right in view so you don't forget them. They have a unique ability to turn their heads like a human which makes them seem almost human sometimes! They love to sit on corals like personal recliners or on the feeder, to be sure you know they're hungry! Though many are noted as "Algae" Blennies, please do not buy them to try & remedy an algae problem. They are so little they won't make a true difference. Fix what's causing the algae, which is probably creating a poor water quality condition as well & buy the Blenny because they're so cute, you just gotta have one!! Heads up, Blennies can be intolerant to other Blennies in the same tank. Introducing more than one at the same time or in very large reef tanks (100 gallons +) with lots of rocks might increase the chances of success.
